Well it feels as if some strange things are happening in the world right now with the weather. We still have a bit of snow in the back yard although the weather has warmed up a lot. Tonight we had hail, thunder, lightening, rain, and then snow. Hopefully things will start to turn green. The kids and I planted some eggheads - flower seeds and dirt in eggshell halves - and they have started to sprout! Now we have to get to the garden center to get our vegetable seeds. Last week my nieces came to spend the day and we had a ball. Although it took over 45 minutes to get out of the house with Poppy learning to use the potty (and missing a bit), dumping 1/2 a container of fish food in the fish tank, and a few other mishaps, we finally made it out the door. We drove to Fish Creek Park a few minutes away and went adventuring. We walked along a path, threw rocks in the river, found various sticks, skipped, ran, tripped, laughed, and generally had a great time. And we made it back to the vehicle just in time for some rain!
We hope to have more adventures with the cousins this Spring and Summer!
