November 2013

We now have an 8 year old, folks.  Not sure how, but we do.  And what an incredible 8 year old he is.

Rowan has developed a passion for all things Dungeons and Dragons, so for his birthday party this year he invited his friends over for a quest.  They had several tasks to achieve and Rowan loved it.

With his birthday money he bought himself the lego set he has been wanting so badly!

We bought Science Centre passes this year and have been spending a lot of time there.  Both Rowan and Poppy mostly enjoy the animation stations and have spent hours there in total so far.

Rowan went to another class out at Patterson Springs Farm where they learned more about Pioneers of this area.  They made bread after grinding wheat, made crab apple jelly, and cinnamon buns.

We made butter at home ourselves and it was delicious!

More fun for Rowan and I while Poppy is in music class.

Poppy is working on some Grade One math.  She loves workbooks and worksheets.

Nature Table for Winter 2014.

Building fortresses and having great battles with sugar cubes and lego people.

Another favourite area at the Science Centre is where the kids can build a pipeline.  On this day there were kids from 9 months to 8 working together.
